Aruni Mahato, a 51-year-old woman from Mukrudih, supports her family of seven through agriculture and her work with the Aadivasi Welfare Foundation. By taking part in AWF’s plantation and livelihood initiatives, she actively contributes to building a greener environment while also improving the well-being of her family. The opportunities created through this work help her meet daily household needs and strengthen her family’s livelihood. Aruni takes pride in nurturing the trees she helps plant, believing that this work not only protects nature but also brings hope and stability to rural families.
